With one in three Americans over the age of 60 who will be diagnosed with cancer, there is an enormous and steadily growing demand for information on how to screen, treat, manage and cure cancer in the older patient. These estimates are also more than mere statistics, as they reflect the lives of our grandparents, parents, our own futures and the future of our children.

Geriatric Oncology Consortium Overview:

  • A National non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the age based disparities in research, education and treatment in the older adult cancer population
  • A leader in developing and conducting research in older adults
  • A leader in providing older adult cancer education to medical professionals, patients, caregivers and the general public
  • A nationwide network of community and academic sites providing clinical trial services developed specifically for older adults
  • A multi-specialty team of medical professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, etc) with an interest in treating and caring for older adults with cancer
